I dig this compilation so much. Reminds me of the old comp Saturday Morning: Cartoons' Greatest Hits that I had back in high school. Fans of TV and Cap'n'Jazz's "Theme to '90210'" will love this.
Favorite track: Stay Tuned: Entertainment Tonight (TV Theme).
"I loved Frasier and I'm thrilled they are
making newer episodes. I will be sad and offended if they don't use my version of the theme song for the new episodes." - Jason Lytle
"My name is Jason Lytle. I make Grandaddy songs and songs in general as well and somehow still do music for a living when I'm not camping or riding my bike."
"I was never allowed to watch Cheers as a kid. I think it was too sexual or something, so all I remember was the intro before my parents turned the channel. I remember being pretty confused by how different the intro was from the snippets of the show I saw. The old-timey photos, the nostalgic song, they seemed very different from the ugly, modern people in the show. Were there two shows? It was like a tiny show behind the show. I thought that was pretty cool and I do still, so that's why I chose that song." - Luke Csehak
"The Lentils is mostly me, Luke Csehak, and my elf friends who I summon to aide me in my musical indulgences. How spoilt I am by their sumptuous offerings! We are called The Lentils because I'm scared of lentils and I thought it would be an effective way to work through this anxiety. I have seen mixed results."
"The first few times I heard the theme to Twin Peaks, I thought it was pretty boring, for a show intro. I guess I was used to the fist-pumping excitement of the Next Generation theme, at the time. I actually love Julee Cruise, and came to understand the pacing of it and see how it pretty perfectly sets up Lynch's pacing of the show." - Indianna Hale
Indianna Hale is a singer songwriter multi-instrumentalist based in San Francisco. She has just finished a new album, Yesterday’s Glitter, recorded at Dusty Sea Studios and co-produced by none other than Jason Cirimele (aka Dust Collector) . The two have made a lot of music together (including this theme song). "Imagine Cate le Bon baking a sweet-but-not-too-sweet birthday cake with Calvin Johnson, wearing fuzzy warm sweaters and slippers and sipping home-fermented strawberry wine. This music sounds like that to me." - Bill Baird

I love Lovecraft in Brooklyn, and this version captures the energy of the Mountain Goats in concert as well as any recording I've heard. My absolute favorite, but the live version of See America Right is a close second. Bangers, the both of 'em. theoysterking

whole album. a nice almost straight line from the 1st to this second with the spirit, but the lighter mood and 'fun' vibe really comes out. great 2nd!! gonzoride67
