"Family Ties was one of my favorites growing up. A western Pennsylvanian kid looking into the central Ohio world. While I couldn't grasp the complexity of the show about hippie parents with a Young Republican son set against the backdrop of the political hellscape we so fondly call the 1980's, somehow I still knew something was up, sha la la la. The theme song seems too sexy for a family sitcom, but maybe that's why I'm David Israel and not Gary David Goldberg. Letty adds that she had a crush on every single cast member, except for one." - David Israel

David Israel is a multi-instrumentalist songwriter living life in Austin, Texas. He often works with a rotating cast of friends and characters to create pastiches, hodgepodges, potpourris, and other popular Jeopardy categories. His music has been described as such: "plays out like a children's story about a cartoon astronaut shot into space only to face a midlife crisis". He is working on new American material for an undefined world. Letty Leal Evans lives in Austin, TX. The life she loves is making music with her friends.
