"I think I probably got hip to John Lurie through watching some Jim Jarmusch films and starting to learn about that whole new york scene of people he was working with... eventually I came across a Lounge Lizards tape (absolute brain frier!) and then started digging into John's work a little more. Wasn't long after that I was over at a friend's place and they threw on an episode of Fishing With John for me to check out... total weirdo vibes right off the bat and I just kind of fell in love with the theme song ...something about it sounded almost like a lullaby with that DX7 sounding keyboard patch and John's subtle almost droney vocal take... didn't take much more for me to be hooked ;) also the fact that neither John nor his guests on the show seemed to know much about fishing I always found quite charming.” - Blob Dylan⁣

"If you've ever seen the movie poster for The Blob I think it pretty much sums up what this project's about... swallowing everything in its path, scaring people off, destroying things... I sort of do all three.
